On May 19, 2021, a round table “Networking in vocational education: experience of implementing RUECVET project (Erasmus + program)” was held. It was organised by the project coordinator – Liepaja University (Latvia) and Russian project participants. The round table was attended by representatives of Voronezh State University, Russian State Vocational Pedagogical University (Yekaterinburg), Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography, Tver State University, Novosibirsk Chemical-Technological College named after V.I. DI. Mendeleev, as well as colleagues from Armenia and Kazakhstan.
RUECVET project “Piloting ECVET in the national systems of vocational education and training in Russia and Uzbekistan” was supported in 2016 with the aim of creating a platform based on higher and secondary vocational education organisations for the pilot launch of the European Credit System for VET (ECVET), contributing to the promotion and provision of comparability, compatibility and complementarity of qualifications of VET system both horizontally (within the system) and vertically between secondary vocational and higher education at the national and transnational levels.
The purpose of the round table was to exchange experience on the implementation of the results of RUECVET project and the prospects for further application of ECVET in training.
The round table was opened by Patriks Morevs, Head of the Department of International Relations of the Liepaja University (Latvia). He welcomed the participants and outlined the main topics of the event and their relevance.
Then the floor was given to Tamara Golubeva, Associate Professor of the Institute of Pedagogical Education and Social Technologies (Tver State University), who opened the roundtable program with a report on the advanced training program for teachers in VET in the context of the leading provisions of the ECVET project.
Olga Shmurygina, Associate Professor of the Department of Law of the Russian State Vocational Pedagogical University (Yekaterinburg), continued the round table with a detailed and informative report “Features of the implementation of the European ECVET credit system in the organization of e-learning”.
Aliya Myrsalieva, Deputy Director for External Relations of the Office of the Rector of the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography, spoke about the role of the RUECVET project in improving the qualifications of teachers of the Moscow College of Geodesy and Cartography.
Elena Sartakova, Director of the Novosibirsk Chemical-Technological College named after D.I. Mendeleeva, presented a report on RUECVET tools in the development of the IT cluster of the Novosibirsk region.
The results of the implementation of the RUECVET project on the basis of Voronezh State University were presented by Svetlana Oks, Associate Professor of the Department of Public Relations, Advertising and Design of the Faculty of Journalism.
Colleagues from Armenia and Kazakhstan took an active part in the work of the round table, noting the particular relevance of the topic of the project, as well as the need for further development of this direction.
